Who we are
Spires Data Solutions Ltd is a UK-based data consultancy. We design and build the warehouses, lakehouses and reporting platforms that organisations rely on to make decisions — and then keep them running.
We work end-to-end: discovery, architecture, dimensional modelling, ETL/ELT, performance tuning, deployment and ongoing DBA support. Every engagement is led personally by a senior architect.

Meet the founder
Martin Powell — Data Warehouse Architect
I design and build data warehouses that are scalable and performant. I lead global development teams by coaching and mentoring — using 25 years of experience working in IT.
I have been working with Microsoft SQL Server since 2008 and have deep knowledge of T-SQL, SSAS, PowerShell and SSIS, as well as a strong understanding of cloud platforms including Azure and Databricks.
I’m also confident working with reporting solutions such as Power BI and Tableau, and have led multiple end-to-end warehouse build-outs from blank slate to production.
